Alice was strong in her faith and was a member of the Wesleyan church for most of her life. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing, and doing crossword puzzles. Most of all she loved spending time in her garden and being with her grandchildren.
Alice was preceded in death by: both her parents; husband, James E. Shaw; husband, George E. Fitzgerald; and son, James Shaw.
Alice is survived by: her children, Amy (Ish) Barney, Alfred Shaw, Susan Starnes, and Paul (Brenda) Shaw; step-children, Tom Fitzgerald, Tina Smith, Elaine Wright, and Pam Lucht; as well as, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31st, 2025 at 1:00pm at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel. The family will welcome guests one hour prior to the start of the service. Alice will be laid to rest at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Harbor Hospice.
