

Mr. Schulist was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, where he sang in the choir for many years. He was a barber for most of his life retiring from Just Cuts in Cloverville. A loving and caring person with a big heart, he will be fondly remembered by family for giving the best hugs, his sweet wonderful smile, and being a kind and patient man. Some of his favorite times were spent watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports.
He is survived by his wife Barbara of 59 years; daughters, Jill (Scott) Westjohn, Paula (Thomas) LeMire, Kathy Bradley, Sandy (Dale) Miller, and Mary Beth Schulist; 10 grandchildren, Stacy, Derek, Stephanie, Jamie, Ryan, Jennifer, Rachel, Joshua, Jacob, and Justin; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Eleanore Hibbard, Louis (Brigitte) Schulist, Phillis (Dr. Miki) Hiraga, Jeanie (Melvin) Nielsen, Roberta Leonard, and Ramona (Randy) Traxler; many extended family and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 27, 2016, 10:30am, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 451 S. Getty St., Muskegon.
Visitation will be Monday, from 9:30-10:30am prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics or to the American Diabetes Association.
