Gary attended Ravenna Public Schools and went on to work for Herman Miller for over 20 years. He married his love, Yvonne, on Valentine's day in 1993, and the couple spent many wonderful years together. In his free time, Gary loved to deer hunt and spend time working in his flower gardens. I was a funny and loving man who will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by: son, Gary Robert Shirk Jr.; and his parents, Royce and Martha Shirk.
He is survived by: wife, Yvonne Shirk; daughter, Rebecca (Wesley) Heikkila; stepdaughter, Regina King; 2 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Jerry Steele.
There are no plans for a memorial services at this time.
