Rosie was a 1962 graduate of Reeths-Puffer High School. She married Paul R. Duell Jr. in 1965 and the couple spent 42 years together until his passing in 2007. She worked for Howmet for many years and retired after 25 years of dedicated work. In her free time, Rosie liked to work in her yard, watch the birds, and read. She also had a deep love for her loyal dog Puppers, who passed in 2023. Rosie will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Paul R. Duell Jr.; father, Gordon Ikens; mother, Thelma Haugen; stepfather, Georgen Haugen; grandson, Lawrence Duell; great-grandson, Karson Mourer; brothers, Robert Ikens and Edward Haugen; and sister-in-law, Patricia Ikens.
She is survived by: children, Kelly (Scott) Anderson, Kammy Matherly, Kirk (Bobbi Jo) Duell, and Kent ( Sherry Kinsman) Duell; grandchildren, Ryan, Aandie, Richelle, Zakkari, Monica, Tommy, Jessyca, Sara, Maegan, Cody, Jordyn, Kayleigh, Dylan, Destiny, Danielle, Stephanie, and Zach; 23 great-grandchildren; brother, Floyd Ikens; many nieces and nephews; and special family friend, Wayne Matherly.
In accordance with Rosie's wishes, cremation will take place, and a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or The Leukemia Research Foundation.
