James (Jim) Allen Corpe, aged 76, passed away on Friday September 3rd, 2019 surrounded by loved ones. Raised in Muskegon, Jim loved spending time as a child at Ford Lake where he water-skied, fished with his dad, and fell in love with swimming. As he grew up, he found that his true passion was motorcycles and cars. Much of his life was spent with his children at car shows, going for motorcycle rides, and teaching them how to work under the hood of a car. Jim also shared his love of WWE wrestling with not only his children, but his grandchildren as well. There are many memories of spending time together watching favorite shows, eating ice cream and drinking pop.
Jim retired from Sherman Williams and also was a long-time employee of CWC Textron (formerly Campbells).
Jim is preceded in death by his mother and father, Beth and Leo Corpe, his son, Craig, and his daughter, Jeanette. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Mark), his son, Chris (Francine), his lifelong friend and former, spouse Brenda (Ellis) Bolles, his grandchildren, Chynnah, Tyler, CJ, Brandon, Cameron, Haley, Amanda, and Nicole, and many great-grandchildren that he adored.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 9th, 2019 at 11am at Ever Rest Funeral Home, 1783 E Keating Ave in Muskegon, Michigan, with a visitation one hour prior. Jim will be laid to rest next to his daughter, Jeanette, at the Sunrise Memorial Garden Cemetery.
