Jim was a very kind man.  I worked with him at Second National Bank years ago.  Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Townsend...I worked at Second National in the mail office as the receptionist.  Jim was always so considerate to me and I enjoyed his wit.  As with many of those that retired I was sad when he retired.  My Sympathy to you and your family.

Dear Barbara,
My sister who lives in Greenville sent me an e-mail about Jim. 
I was so saddened to hear of your loss and know that after nearly 60 years together it will be hard to now be alone.  I was glad to read that you have children and grandchildren where you are living so that will be a great blessing for you.  I am assuming that you will continue to live in Michigan to be near them.
In reading about Jim I realized how many similarities there are between our families.  I was born February 15, 1934 just one day before Jim.  John and I were married in October of 1952 just before you and Jim.
If you ever have time, I would really enjoy hearing from you.  I appreciated the visit we had in Greenville when you came out to my sister's home several years ago.

Barb: I'm vary sorry to here about Jim, that saturday morning I was praying that it was nothing serious. We only knew each other for a few years, you both are good neighbors and good people, again our condolences to Barb and your whole family. Jim will be missed.

I can truthfully say he was one of the nicest persons in my child hood growing up years.He continued to be a sweet friend even though our lives were many miles apart. Barb and Linda, Arlene and I were so sorry to hear of Jim's death yesterday when Pastor Black called.  Jim was a great man who we respected and appreciated so much.  We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.  We have been blessed having known him!  Claim the power of Jesus' grace for it is sufficient for all times and situations.  Praise God that Jesus has conquered the power of death and is risen making it possible for we who are Christians to join him in a far better place.
