John was born June 14, 1927, the son of George and Emma Coffey. He married Hollie Petty in the late 1940’s. They enjoyed many years of marriage together until her death in 2004. John served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed working outside, yardwork, woodworking, bowling, and coaching little league. He was a kind, patient, faithful, caring man who will be deeply missed.
John is survived by: his son, John; grandchildren, Ryan (Mary), and Pam; great-grandchildren, Preston and Ethan.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
A visitation will take place from 4:00-6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel 1783 E Keating Avenue Muskegon. Interment will take place next to his wife at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
