Judith Ann Carpenter, 83, of Muskegon, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023.
Judy was born March 20, 1939, the daughter of Clarence and Iva Campbell. On May 14, 1955 she married Henry Carpenter. Together they raised 4 children and enjoyed 46 years of marriage until his death in 2001. She attended the former Kainay Community Church in Muskegon, volunteered at the American Red Cross, and volunteered at the Muskegon Rescue Mission. She enjoyed painting, cooking, baking, fishing, hunting, and most of all being with her family. She was a happy, helpful, loving, and caring woman with a heart of gold and a big contagious smile. She will be deeply missed.
Judy leaves behind: her children, Gordon (Amy) Carpenter, Joann (Randy) Lunsford, Charlene (Charles Silky) Helman, and Henry (Kelli) Carpenter; grandchildren, Alena, Elizabeth, Michael, Heather (Gavin), Kurt (Krystal), Lauren (Joe), and Kenadi; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry (Perk) Campbell, Jerry (Carol) Campbell, and Jim (Candy) Campbell; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Judy was preceded in death by: her husband Henry; son, Ronald; and her parents.
A Memorial service will take place at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at EverRest Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel, 1783 E Keating Avenue Muskegon. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Noah Project or Hospice of Michigan.
EverRest Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
