

Kay was fun-loving and a social butterfly who never met a stranger. She loved taking trips with her sisters, Linda and Karen, cousin Pam and special nieces. In her free time, she liked watching college football, playing cards and bingo, listening to country music, and spending time with her friends. But most of all, she loved her family and was a devote wife, mother, and grandmother. Kay always put her family first because that is just the type of woman she was. Her bright spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Kay was preceded in death by: first husband, Alan James Semark; second husband, Raymond David Romero; son, Edward Dean Semark; mother, Lora Buck; father, Alvin Buck; sister, Linda Powles; boother, Thomas Buck; great granddaughter, Alana Ellie Shawboose; special uncle, Larry Riley; sister-in-law, Maxine Buck; cousins, Jo Jeske, and Emma & Jim Hanson; as well as, special friend, Margie Mangioni.
Kay is survived by: children, Carole Cole, and Tom Semark (Terri Lampkin); grandchildren, Lacey (Jay) Shawboose, Kolby Cole, Kiri (Alex) Dodge, Jonathan Semark, Matthew Semark, Andrew Semark (Courtney Martin), and Dustin Semark (Olivia Domenici); great-grandchildren, Amber Semark, Hadley and Elora Shawboose, and Edward James Semark; sister, Karen (Art) Beall; special cousins, Bev & Pam; as well as, beloved nieces, nephews, other extended family, and many close friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 2:00pm at Ever Rest Funeral Home. The family will welcome guests one hour prior to the start of the service.
