Dear Knapp Family,

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Preston’s passing. I taught Preston in kindergarten and will never forget him and his famous hair styles and wonderful personality! It was always fun working with you ,Tamora and I enjoyed all of your boys.

My heart breaks knowing I’ll never hear your laugh, see that infectious smile or get a hug from you.  Started getting those hugs watching you play football (thanks to my nephew and your friendship) and they continued throughout the years every time I saw you. I pray that your family finds peace knowing how much you impacted others lives.  RIP Preston...I know your riding in the sky!

I never met you in person, I work with your dad who is an awesome person. I am saddened I will never get to meet you, but I am there for you Dad and whatever he may need. Rest in peace and know you will be missed.

My heart has been so heavy after this tragedy.  It was so nice to see Preston smile and have so much fun at Becca and Zacks wedding...  I, have so many funny memories of you Preston !  You will forever be missed.

You were by by far my best friend growing up Preston from Upper Elementary to Middle School we were very close, one memory I’ll remember fondly is when we had a Science project due the next day but found that playing video games all night was a better use of our time :) although we drifted apart after High School I’ll never forget you and your positivity in all of the things you did.

Many broken hearts with the news of your passing 💔💔  you were an amazing father to my grandson Benjamin and I've always had the up most respect for you because of the love you had for him and the love you had for each other definitely showed!!!!  You will be missed but guarantee that you will Never be forgotten!!! My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of great loss. I can't imagine losing a child or what you must be going through at this time. Just know there are people out there that love you and are there for if you need anything. May God watch over you and be there for you and your family....

Just looking at the picture of him from golf, all I hear is his laugh. An infectious laugh that you just can’t unhear. 
A great man, father, son, and friend. I will miss him so much. To the whole Knapp family- know that you have a community behind you that your son has touched- anything you need I’m sure anyone would be willing to do. We are here for you. 💜💜

Ayoooo see you in heaven my friend 

The first time I met Preston was last year around coast guard. I made a status asking for a ride to Grand Rapids, and he commented asking if I wanted to ride on his bike. He ended up getting me and we ended up going to coast guard instead. I remember it was an amazing feeling. He ended up winning me a stuffed animal, and I ended up finding a 5$ bill on the side walk and it was just a really good night. Preston was a great man and I’m so very lucky to have met him. I just hungout with him recently a few times before he passed and it really crushes me that I won’t be seeing him again, at least not down here. I’m glad that I did get the chance to meet him, even tho I didn’t get to enjoy his presence as much as I’d have liked. I’ll be missing him and I guess the only peace I can get is knowing he made the most of his life and what he did. Now Every time I go swimming I’ll think of him, or whenever I see a bike on the highway. Riding was his passion, I know he was a safe driver and anyone who knew him knows that too. This tragedy is a hard one, I’m sorry to his family for how they must be feeling right now, I’m sorry to any friend he has made and impacted who won’t be able to see his smiling face again. and mostly I’m deeply saddened that He won’t be able to enjoy being the father he wanted to be anymore. Now All we can do is come together to remember who he was and cherish the life he did get to live. & let him live through us.  May you Rest In Peace preston, I’ll be getting a bike one day and we will ride together again.

Harry, Tammy, Dakota, Zach, Benji and the Knapp family, my prayers will continue for all of you during this most difficult time.  I don't have to write what a wonderful person your son, brother and dad he was because you know that.   Preston was a good friend not only to my son but to everyone in our community.  I will surely miss his contagious smile and watching him with Benji. May GOD wrap you all in his loving arms to help you all with your broken hearts. 

My prayers go out to the Knapp family during this tragic loss. Preston was a crazy, genuine & pure hearted soul. He always lived on the edge and enjoyed life to it's fullest. I've known Preston for nearly 20 years. His untimely passing will forever break my heart... My heart goes out everyone who this has impacted.
