Sherry Ann Schmuker, age 73 of Muskegon, passed away on September 16, 2017. Sherry worked at Orchard View Schools for over 30 years as a teacher's aide until her retirement. She was an active volunteer with the school as well, volunteering with the band, the archives, and the school store. Sherry's heart was for her family, and she enjoyed crafting special projects for all of her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Dennis in 2014. Sherry is survived by her children: Dawn (Steven) Benkert, Kevin (Lisa) Schmuker; Grandchildren: Jeffrey, Tirzah, Sarah, Noah, Jonah, Anna; Mother Irene Kurtzhal; Brothers: Ronald Kurtzhal, David (Dee) Kurtzhal, Bud (Robin) Kurtzhal; Mother-in-law Rose Schmuker; Sister-in-law Jan (Bill) Alder; Many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Sherry's life will be held Thursday, September 21, 2017, from 6:00-8:00pm at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Orchard View Education Foundation.
