
William E. Engelman, age 81, went to be with the Lord on November 22, 2014. William was born on January 6, 1933 to parents Emil and Mable (Schimke) Engelman in East Lake, Michigan. He served in the United States Army and was a Korean War Veteran. William retired after many years of working for Teledyne. He faithfully attended Dalton Baptist Church. William was an avid hunter and enjoyed many things like gardening and playing cards. He had a great sense of humor, and more than anything, he loved his family and friends. William married Anna Marie (Schieber) on February 19, 2011; she survives him along with his children: Scott (Joy) Engelman, Heidi (Phil) Ripley, Todd (Diane) Engelman; step-children: Kathleen (Bob) Fisher, Jacqueline (Bill) Cavanaugh, Janet (Ed) Dyga, Evelyn (Jeff) Paauwe, Jody Carr, Beth (Ed) Hartlove; grandchildren: Holly (Shawn) Commons, Lindsay (Nate) Brooks, Lukas Engelman, Ashley Engelman, Scott Engelman, Charissa (Dan) DeMara, Kevin Engelman, Kiersten Engelman; sisters: Audrey Erickson, Caroline (John) Allen; several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his late wife of 58 years, Anita (Skocelas) Engelman; and brother, Wesley Engelman. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Dalton Baptist Church (3777 Holton Rd., Muskegon), with visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Dalton Baptist Church or the Muskegon Rescue Mission.
