

Born and raised in Nanaimo, Brian is lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Bobbi (née Warren); his daughter Carla (Brent) Morgan and son Robert; and the joys of his life, his granddaughters Chloe and Ryann. He will also be dearly missed by his beloved fur babies, Demi and Marlo; his sisters Sharon and Beverly; sister-in-law Lisa; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, Sam and Bernice Ripka; his younger brother Tim; and his brother-in-law Dennis Walker.
Brian spent many years working in road construction as a machine operator before retiring early in 2013. He was known for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and for always putting his family first.
He had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in fishing, hunting, and spending time in nature. He also took great pride in his 1967 Beaumont, a car he had cherished since 1978. Brian loved NASCAR, often spending every Sunday watching his favourite race.
Brian was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
In keeping with his wishes, no service will be held.
