Cameron was born on November 8, 1956 in Kingston Ontario, and departed this world January 26, 2024.
He is survived by his loving daughter Dani Rain, his sister Heidi Garbutt and her children David, Ashley and Jennifer, his cousins Liz, Vicky and Elizabeth and cherished friends Thrina, Guy, Alastair, Jim, Ingrid, Kim and Tim.
Cameron earned a commerce degree from the University of Alberta and made Victoria home in the late 80’s. A visionary entrepreneur, he was very involved with the transformation of heritage homes to multi family dwellings in Victoria as well as the construction of homes for holiday rentals in Tofino B.C.
Sadly, his life took a challenging turn in 2003 when he contracted Lyme disease, leading to a slow decline in his health in his remaining years.
Despite the hardships, Cameron always kept his spirits up, he always had a smile and we are fortunate to have had him as our friend. In honoring his spirit, please remember him with a heartfelt toast.
