Catherine Lorraine Golder passed away in Nanaimo, BC, on October 25th, 2021. She was 72. Born on July 24, 1949, in Toronto, Ontario, to Leonard and Lorraine Golder, she moved to Vancouver, British Columbia with her family at the age of 16.
A talented and skilled musician, she touched many lives as a music teacher in Nanaimo, BC. As well as music, yoga was an important part of Cathy’s life and she was a certified hatha yoga instructor. An accomplished horsewoman, she passed on her love of riding to her daughters.
Cathy was a compassionate person who always helped those in need. She is survived by her granddaughter, two daughters, three sisters, four nieces, a nephew and two great nephews.
Cathy was celebrated by her close family in a private ceremony.
Always ready for a road trip, we believe she has now started on her next great adventure.
May she rest in peace.
