It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Damon Lorne William Brothers, my beloved partner, father, son, and brother.
Damon was a man of incredible heart, whose love for his family never wavered, even in his hardest moments. He is survived by his partner, Melissa Stauffer, and his three beautiful daughters, Mellsa, Eleanor, and Danya, who were the lights of his life. Damon also leaves behind his mother Maudine, his half-sister Kimmy, his brother Morgan (Kelsey), and his many nieces and nephews who adored him.
Though life brought Damon many struggles, he never stopped showing love, laughter, and loyalty to those he held close. He believed in ohana—family—and reminded us often that no matter the circumstances, love binds us all together.
Damon was predeceased by his grandparents, Grumpy and Ninny, his father Peter, his aunts Mellsa and Sally, and his sister-in-law Stephanie. We take comfort in knowing he is now at peace and reunited with them.
We will remember Damon not only for the hardships he endured, but for the joy he brought us, the lessons he taught us about unconditional love, and the children he leaves as his greatest legacy. His story is one of resilience, struggle, and above all, love.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor Damon’s memory, share stories, and surround his daughters with the love and support he always wanted for them.
“No matter what, he loved us all. Ohana.”
