Her friends knew her as Daphne or Joan, but she was Daphne to Dennis, her loving husband of 67 years.
Predeceased by Dennis in 2014, and their daughter Helen whom is on the missing persons list.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandy, and granddaughter, Michele.
For many years Dennis Roy and Daphne Joan made their home on Bradley Street in Nanaimo, BC where they maintained a lovely garden from which they happily shared the bounty with the neighbors.
On October 28, 1993 she symbolized her dedication to her God and Father Jehovah.
Daphne Joan sincerely appreciated the cards, letters, phone calls, her many visitors, some who brought her goodies, and the helpers at the care homes. She so missed her beloved Kiwanis friends when she had to move to the Malaspina as her eyesight was failing; the adjustment was very hard for her even with the caring staff. She was independent and never wanted to be a bother to anyone. Thank you to the Nanaimo Regional Hospital for the care during Daphne's final days.
She was kind and generous to a fault and her joyful spirit will continue to live on in our hearts.
She will be greatly missed by Sandy, Michele, and her many friends.
Rest In Peace Mum
