Ed was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather whose heart was as big as his laugh. Known for his strength, kindness, and just the right amount of stubbornness, he was the kind of man who showed up for the people he loved always.
He had a lifelong passion for baseball, both playing and watching, and could often be found cheering on his favorite NASCAR drivers or spending time with his many friends. But above all, his greatest joy came from his family. His grandchildren, Claire, Katie, and Rylie, they lit up his life and brought out the softest side of him.
Ed is survived by his beloved wife Penny; his brother Mike (Leanne); his daughters Tiffany (Jeff) and Tanya; his treasured grandchildren Claire, Katie, and Rylie; and his nieces Justine and Jenna. He will also be deeply missed by many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched.
Ed passed away peacefully with his loved ones all around him, surrounded by the same love and care that he so freely gave to others throughout his life.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and humor. His presence filled every room, his generosity touched countless lives, and his memory will forever be treasured by all who knew him.
A celebration of Ed’s life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to share stories, laughter, and love in honor of the incredible man he was.
Rest easy, Ed, you will forever be in our hearts
Love you to the moon and back Poppio
