Mills,Gerald William (Jerry) died on October 31, 2025 after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer. He was born on February 25, 1941 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 52 years Jan and his children Leah and Ben. He will also be missed by many other relatives. Jerry was the happiest when his family came to visit.
Jerry was a welder and member of the Plumbing and Pipefitters Workers Local 170.
Jerry grew up in the Okanagan where he learned to water and snow ski at a young age. He continued to downhill ski until he was 75. He loved the outdoors, whether he was working in his garden, riding his bike or walking. He really loved a hot sunny day.
He also enjoyed many years of meeting with friends at his morning coffee group each week.
The family would like to thank Dr. Swanson and the VIHA nurses for providing care that allowed Jerry to spend his final days at home, which was his wish.
