I was blessed with knowing Hugh and Olga in Terrace, first through Toastmasters and then also through learning to play bridge. I was later happy to reconnect after they moved to Nanaimo. So very sorry to hear of Hugh’s passing. May he Rest In Peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I had the pleasure to serve with Hugh Power on the Board of referees of the employment insurance committee. I did not know him before we were bothI retired. During my 12 years on the board I sat with a number of chairs but never met anyone as prepared and organized as Hugh Power, he also had an open mind and was ready to give people a fair and honest decision
RIP Hugh

I first met Hugh at Skeena high in Terrace, good teacher and man. Later in life Hugh was instrumental in connecting the dots with his family and mine to reconnect me with my sons Patrick and Kelly. Sad he is gone from us but ever remembered with kindness for the good man he was.
