

Bill was born nearly one hundred years ago in Nanaimo to Thomas and Gertrude Vipond on January 2, 1927.
Predeceased by his parents, his brothers Lloyd and Winston, his sisters Kathleen and Jane, his wife Shirley, and son Mike and daughter Janet.
He is survived by his son Bill (Donna), grandchildren Dustin (Brittany), Chelsea (Jamie), Laura (Brad), Aimee and Janine, plus 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
Bill spent many years logging, trapping, and hunting. He kept bees for a number of years, selling his honey and then later selling his bees to Fredrich's Honey. He later worked and retired from the City of Nanaimo.
Bill and Shirley spent many years travelling the back roads of Vancouver Island and throughout BC, hunting and fishing, enjoying the true outdoors. He was a quiet man with a wealth of knowledge pertaining to the wildlife and plants they encoutered.
He is reunited with his wife now and finally at peace.
