OBITUARY

Kerry Edythe Holden

13 March, 1947 – 12 May, 2026
IN THE CARE OF

First Memorial Funeral Services

It is with deep sadness and immense love that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Grandy, Crish & Kerry.

To know Mom was to love her. She had a warm heart, a sharp sense of humour, and a personality that could light up any room. Grandy had a special way of making every visit memorable. Whether she was telling stories, reminiscing about the past, or sharing a little bit of gossip, time spent with her was always filled with laughter and love.

Kerry is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Casey (Andrew) and Kim (Trevor); her sister Shelley (Brent); and her three cherished grandchildren, Malcolm, Heath, and Maddy, who were the absolute joys of her life.

Mom loved her family and friends deeply. Her favourite way to end every phone call or visit was with the words, “Love you more.” Those three words became her signature and a lasting reminder of the boundless love she had for the people in her life.

Grandy was incredibly generous and always willing to help others. If someone needed support and she was able to lend a hand, she did so without hesitation. She cared deeply for the people around her and gave of herself freely.

Over the years, Mom planted roots in many communities throughout British Columbia, but she ultimately found her home in Nanaimo.

Her faith was an important part of her life and provided her with strength and comfort. She had a deep spiritual foundation that guided her through both joyful and difficult times.

Mom was quick-witted and remarkably knowledgeable. She was unbeatable at Jeopardy and always seemed to know the answer before anyone else. She loved sharing stories from her life and had a wonderful way of making ordinary moments feel extraordinary.

Her energy, enthusiasm, and love for life touched everyone who knew her. More than anything, she made people feel loved.

Although our hearts are broken, we are grateful to know that Mom is no longer in pain.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered every day.

She was one classy broad.
