Nils was born on January 28, 1947, in the tiny Hamlet of Hangvar, on the Swedish island of Gotland, the fourteenth of fifteen children. He served in his country’s air force as what he jokingly referred to as an ace “bus pilot,” and went on to marry Inga and raise his two boys Niklas and Greger. On a whim he moved to Canada in 1973, with his family following a few months later. He embraced his new country, worked hard as an electrician, as a farmer, as a father, as a friend.
Predeceased by Inga, he leaves behind his sons Niklas (Jennifer) and Greger, his good friend Leo, and his best friend in all the world, Amber. He also loved and is loved by his grandchildren Amanda, Anders, and Sierra, and his little great-granddaughter Isla (or, as he called her, Nilsetta), not to mention countless siblings, nieces, and nephews in Sweden and abroad.
Before leaving this world, Nils let go with the knowledge that his BFF and his sons would continue to grow and prosper. He left his mark and shall never be forgotten.
