Robert Russell Burke

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Burke, who passed away on May 8, 2026, at the age of 67.

Born in Chilliwack, BC on November 9th, 1958, Rob lived life fully and unapologetically on his own terms. He was known for his big personality, loyalty, quick wit and generosity.

He loved music, time with friends and family, social gatherings, and especially enjoyed his time at the family cabin at Horne Lake. He had a way of making people laugh, telling stories, and keeping everyone around him on their toes.

He is predeceased by his dad Bob, brother Scott, his aunty Steph and his stepdaughter Casey.

He will be deeply missed by his loving mom, Pat, his son, Tyler (Aly), his daughter Janelle, his grandsons Bo, Charlie, Logan and Noah, his sister Dawn (Barry), extended family, and countless friends whose lives were better because he was part of them.

A celebration of life will be held on July 11th, 2026, at First Memorial Funeral Home, in Nanaimo, BC from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, we encourage people to raise a glass, play music loud and spend some time with family and friends.
