Sasha Alexandre Roland Diakow, 47, passed away suddenly on November 27, 2025 in Nanaimo, BC.
Born in the Cayman Islands and raised in Vancouver, Sasha was the son of Theodore and Lise Diakow. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1996 and studied History at the Royal Military College, graduating in 2000. He later served as an Air Combat Systems Officer, attaining the rank of Major. After retiring from the military in 2018, he worked in the federal public service and became a licensed pilot, which was a lifelong dream of his.
Sasha is predeceased by his parents, and is survived by his wife Karen, daughter Charlotte, sister Genevieve (Steven), and brother Charlie (Julie).
There will be no service by request.
