Suddenly and with great sadness, Tom passed from this life to meet his Lord and Savior.
So deeply missed by his wife, Brenda of 31 years. Tom will also be missed by his three children, Mark (Debby), Lisa, Allen (Bev), his three grandchildren Samantha, Jacksyn and Mark and four great grandchildren, all from Ontario. Tom had many nieces and nephews from Ontario, BC and Texas. Tom had a wonderful friendship with all Brenda’s family, and they will miss him dearly.
Tom retired from his engineering position at Jackson Square, Hamilton, Ontario and moved to Vancouver Island 25 years ago.
Tom had a great passion for golf and worked at Fairwinds Golf Course for 23 years. Tom was known as “Mr. Fixit” and was loved and appreciated by many staff and golfing friends.
Tom’s other passion and love was walking with Brenda on the many beautiful beaches of Vancouver Island. They experienced so much joy and togetherness as they walked for hours, camera in hand, while taking in God’s beautiful creation.
Tom made many long-lasting friends through his church and bible studies. A beautiful memory to cherish is that just the day before Tom’s passing, Tom shared that he sat on a rock down at Long Lake, and while reading his bible, he made peace with God.
Though our hearts are filled with grief, we can rejoice in the comfort that Tom is at peace in the presence of God. Tom put his faith in Jesus for his salvation.
We want to express a heartfelt thank you to the paramedics, firemen and staff at Fairwinds Golf Course for their wonderful efforts, care and support.
In lieu of flowers, enjoy fond memories of Tom and his love for nature and Golf.
16 - “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” 17 – “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
