Tim's journey began in Canada’s far north, in Yellowknife. Tim fell deeply in love with Carol. Their courtship involved trips to Edmonton and many long-distance telephone calls. Wherever they lived, though, the important thing wasn’t the house. It was the life they built inside it.
A man who worked hard, built his own life - one of Vancouver Island’s accomplished shipwrights, loved people, gave of himself, spoke his mind, and above everything else, loved Carol and built a life with her for more than 69 years.
We celebrate the rancher, the logger, the shipwright, the community man, the storyteller, the straight shooter, the husband, the brother-in-law—and, of course, the No-Shit Uncle Tim.
May the stories continue, may the laughter remain, and may your memory always bring a smile before it brings a tear.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 171, 621 First Avenue, Ladysmith, British Columbia, V9G 1A1, on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Come join us to raise a glass to Tim and offer love and comfort to Carol.
