Amy is survived by her husband of 15 years Thomas Edward Anstead; her daughters Avery (10) and Paige (8) who attend Pelican Marsh Elementary; her parents James D. and Debra Claflin Marlowe of Genoa, Ohio; her sibling Paula D. Marlowe; and a large and loving family of aunts and uncles, mother and father in law, sister and brothers in law, nephews, a niece, and many, many cousins.
She had fond memories of life in Perrysburg, Ohio lifeguarding at the pond, days studying Marine Biology at the University of South Carolina and Pritchard’s Island, her experience in South America with Disney on Ice, her fieldwork at Toolik Research Station in Alaska and Lake Baikal in Russia, and so many great times with dear friends and her large, extended family. She loved Marine Biology, and skating, and creating art, and camping, and hiking, and boating, and yoga, to name a few. She was good at just about anything she did. She was amazing.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Jan. 10, from 6 – 8pm at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens. A celebration of Amy’s life will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 11 from 11am until Noon at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, 1495 Smith Preserve Way, Naples, FL 34102.
