

Born on February 4, 1928, Ann graduated from Teaneck High School in New Jersey and continued her education at Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in New York City.
High School sweethearts, Ann and Joseph Svitanek Ward were married in 1948 upon completion of his service in the Navy. They moved to Naples to join Ann’s parents William and Geraldine Whiteley in 1955 where they raised four children. Her beloved husband passed away in 1961.
Ann attended Saint Ann’s Church in Naples and started her children’s education at Saint Ann’s School. She worked for many years at Naples Federal Savings & Loan becoming a Senior Vice President in Residential Lending. An Elegant Lady, Ann had a passion for dancing and enjoyed the music of the Big Band Era. Ballroom dancing with her friends was the highlight of her retirement years. Ann survived two late husbands, Bramwell Fredrickson (1971) and Elliott Fisher (1987).
The family was Ann’s greatest joy in life and her legacy. She is survived by four loving children and their spouses Suellen Maxwell (and Michael), Geri Pilon (and Jim), William Ward (and Janice), Timothy Ward (and Michaele). Ann was also blessed with nine grandchildren and their families including two precious great grandchildren, Josh Maxwell (and Marijke), Shane Maxwell (and Tanya and their son Jackson), Elizabeth Quigley (and Patrick Quigley and their daughter Lilli), Trevor Ward, Stephen Pilon, Gregory Pilon, Devon Ward, Brittany Pilon and Madeleine Ward.
Private family services will be held at Naples Memorial Gardens. Donations in Ann’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Support Network of Naples, 660 Tamiami Trail North #21, Naples Florida 34102.
