

She is survived by two of her three children: R. Matt Barnett, and Kelly Barnett (Fiancé Kirk Sanders). She is also survived by a daughter in-law, Sheri Barnett, two grandchildren: Kayla and Christina (Fiancé Ryan) and two great-grandchildren: Wyatt and Willow. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond H. Barnett and son R. Scott Barnett.
Anna Margaret Barnett was born in Lewistown, PA to George Singer Peters and Ada (Campbell) Peters on November 16, 1936. She attended and graduated from Burnham High School in Burnham, PA. She married Raymond H. Barnett on March 11, 1956 in Lewistown, PA. She followed her husband when the military posted him to what was then West Germany. After returning from Germany she moved to State College, PA where she worked at the Pennsylvania State University creamery. After moving to Naples in 1965, she worked at the Edgewater Beach Hotel before moving to WNOG radio, later Palmer Communications, where she worked for 20 years. At WNOG she created the logs scheduling programming and commercials, including their transition to a computerized system. After her husband's retirement she co-managed a hotel with him, Cathy’s Fancy located in Saint Croix in the United States Virgin Islands. In 1989, after hurricane Hugo completely destroyed the hotel, they returned to live in Fort Myers, Florida where she worked in the floral department of Winn Dixie.
Anna (Margie) Barnett was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that loved her family and enjoyed her time with them. She loved to work in the yard and enjoyed beaches and pools.
Margie will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was a loving and caring person that was the foundation of her family.
