Aurelio "Al" Greco Jr.

Aurelio was born on February 23, 1933, to Aurelio Sr. and Josephine Greco in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Lafayette high school and then went on to study business administration at Pennsylvania Military College graduating as a Second Lieutenant and later being promoted to Captain.

Al began his career as an accountant with Merrill Lynch. Later, he went on to open a business with his loving wife Carmen. They worked side by side for 30 years. Al met and fell in love with Carmen during high school and they married on June 19, 1955. Their marriage of 67 years was based upon mutual support through life’s ups and downs and a deep love for one another and their family.

Al and Carmen would go on to have two children, Mark and Kenneth. Al was a wonderful and devoted father and husband. He served as a role model to his sons and taught them to love family and to be respectful and kind. As a father, he was always there to celebrate accomplishments and to lend support through difficult times.

Al’s grandchildren Jeremy, Emma Kate, Haley, and Gavin were the pride and joy of his life. The legacy of Al’s kind spirit, passion for his family, and gentleness lives on through them. Al’s indomitable spirit encouraged his family to persist in the face of many struggles.

We will remember Al as a gentle, loving man of faith who was an inspiration as a husband, father, grandfather and to all those he met. Al’s kindness extended to random strangers met in a store or on the street with whom he would stop and talk.

In our loss of Al, our hearts ache with sadness. We are consoled by faith that we will all one day be reunited. Al will remain in our hearts as we walk through life and until we meet again.

In lieu of donations or flowers the family asks that you please keep Al in your prayers. There will be a celebration of life at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, October 12 at 11 am. Guests may arrive to greet the family starting at 10:30 am.
