My dear friend Woody, what can you say. They broke the mold on this for sure. He was one of the most interesting people you would ever meet. If he liked you, you were gold. A relationship I will always cherish.  He taught me more about business than anyone I know. 

My favorite story about Woody is as follows:

I was on vacation with my wife and kids back in the 90’s and went to Naples for a few days to stay with Woody and Debbie and Vanessa at their condo. They had just had their offer accepted for the house on the water. Woody  wanted us to see the house and the sellers were still living there. He took us over to the house unannounced and explained that I was his painter and he wanted to show me the whole house to discuss paint colors. I just happen to have my wife and two kids with me. The lady was so upset it wasn’t even funny. The lady relented and we walked through the whole house with the poor lady following us.  Looking back now it was hilarious. 

If you know Woody, then you probably have a similar story.

My condolences to Woodys family.  I have lost a very dear and good friend we always kept touch and I have many memories of such great conversations and many laughs. I wish I could have visited but circumstances would not allow it. 
My heartfelt thoughts to Debbie, his children and grandchildren so sorry for your loss. As everyone knows there was only one “WOODY”

Austin “Woody” Lynch played many roles during his time on our stage: Adoring husband, shrewd businessman, “Uncle Woody...” I was blessed to know him as Dad. My dad gave me the very best life he could imagine for his family, filled with unbelievable stories and truly awesome memories. From stories told so often they feel like my own memories to the seemingly everyday moments we shared, it is clear that my dad was a truly remarkable man. He took so much pride in the accomplishments of his wife and children, as anyone he chatted up at the bar or in the store will surely tell you. He sang our praises any chance he got, and he seldom missed an opportunity to remind us of his love and affection. Throughout my life, my dad has been one of my biggest (and most vocal) supporters. When I was around 9, I told him I wanted to be a marine biologist. He made sure I had a microscope with slides and specimens to practice. When I was in high school and throughout most of college, I dreamed of being a lawyer. He welcomed my mock trial teammates in our home at all hours without complaint or protest. He supported me as I attended college and worked in a law firm. He told everyone about his daughter the future lawyer. When I changed my mind and became a teacher, I worried what he might think. His support never wavered. Suddenly, it was his daughter the schoolteacher, which sounded like his daughter the Queen of England to hear him tell it. I realize now that I could have been his daughter the trash collector and he would have still be proud (I can hear it now, “the best damn garbage picker you’ve ever seen!”). He loved and supported me no matter what. I didn’t say it enough, but I am so thankful to have known your unwavering love and support. Thank you for being the best dad you knew how to be. I’ll miss you, but your memory will live on as inspiration for the big moments and future accomplishments that lie ahead. I love you.
