To the family, I have been thinking of you all during this horrific time and sadness. Bruce was a great guy. Very nice and nice looking.  He was the first friend I made when I came to Gwynn's Island. He, Scott and Craig. I have good memories that I will cherish.  I wish I had my photo albums with me, I could share a picture or two.  May you all be comforted by the memories and God's love. Know that you have another guardian angel watching over you.  I have you in my thoughts and prayers 🙏.  Sending hugs to each of you.

You were the oldest and I am the youngest. We were far apart but brothers. I will miss you and think of the good times we had. I hope you are at peace. This prayer is for you.

Being 9 years younger than you, I can't say we had the closest relationship growing up. I don't think any 14 year old boy would want to hang out with his 5 year old sister! As adults, I can't say we both knew each other well, which is a shame, but I loved you and always wanted the best for you. I wish the end of your life didn't happen the way it did. I wish you had looked to your siblings for help and support as we all would have been there for you 100%.  I hope that you've found the happiness you needed in your life here on earth up in heaven.  I know that Dad, Mom and Scott greeted you at the pearly gates with open arms and  brought a huge smile to your face.  Rejoice in that reunion, Bruce, I know you're at peace now. I love you, Amy

 I met Bruce in the Florida Keys walking down a dock looking for a place for our boat. I’m proud to say he became a friend from that moment on. It’s hard to explain just how generous and kind he could be, always hiding it with a bit of gruffness - as if he he didn’t want to let on what a good guy he really was. He was a meticulous craftsman. Never a job too big or too small to do the job right. We get compliments on our boat often, and when we do I think of Bruce, because he was a big part of bringing our boat, our home, back to life. We will miss him and always remember him as part of the Bonefish family.  Rest In Peace my friend!

We know Bruce from Bonefish marina in Marathon. He was always there for us. When hurricane Irma was headed for the keys, Bruce was one the last people to evacuate because he moved our boat to be hauled out, when we couldn’t get there. His services were always in great demand in Marathon. We will surely miss him. 

We have known Bruce for many years. He was a staple around Bonefish Marina. Helping everyone out with anything they needed done on their boat. Overtime he became our captain on Safari and we entrusted him with her care. He was a friend and we considered him part of our family. His presence will be greatly missed. Our deepest sympathies go out to Justin, Sally and all of Bruce’s family.

My deepest sympathies to Bruce’s family.  I worked in the office of Key By The Sea for 8 years and helped Bruce secure the lots, 68E and 43E after 45E sold.  He came in the office every Friday to put money on his laundry card.   He was always a joy to be around, quiet but very nice.  I will miss him.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers

My cousin Bruce & his family are no small part of how a pale young kid from Central Ohio ends up living in S FL...25+ years into a career in the boating/fishing industry.    
Taking the briefest of moments to ask the thoughtful question, point out an interesting observation, quell my uneasiness (Jaws had proven an unsettling movie for a young, novice snorkeler!), and sharing just a bit of his joy of the ocean when we crossed paths.  No small task when your cousin is a quiet sort 15 years your junior.
I love and appreciate him for what he was - to me - and will miss him.  

Bruce was my brother in law.  He was always kind and soft spoken.  He loved the ocean and gifted me some treasures he found along the way.  I will always be grateful for the time spent together as a family. Rest Easy Bruce, I pray you found the peace you have been longing for.
