

He is survived by his wife Judy Dolgin-Sasfy, daughters Catherine Corey (Gabor) Takacs, Margaret Lori (Glenn) Sasfy-Woodruff, step daughters Allison (John) Arnold and Samantha Dolgin, stepson John (Shanna) Anwiler, and grandsons Alexander Kapish, Oliver Takacs, and Anderson Woodruff.
Cliff graduated Monroe High School in 1965. He enlisted in the army and graduated Officer Candidate School in 1966 and served as a 1st Lieutenant in Vietnam from 1966-1969. Once back home he attended University of Texas and University of Michigan.
Cliff was the Director of Real Estate for Seaway Foodtown for 25 years. When they were purchased by Spartan Stores, he continued his work as Vice President of Real Estate and Market Development for Spartan Nash, a Fortune 400 company. He oversaw close to 1 Billion in stores and shopping centers in 5 states.
Cliff served on many boards including chairmen of the FMI (Food Marketing Institute) conference, and President of the River Raisin Performing Arts. Cliff was instrumental in starting the West Shore Coalition for water levels on the Great Lakes. He was Chairmen of the International Joint Commission (a commission between the United States and Canada to study levels of all the Great Lakes) representing the United States. Cliff has donated the results of the 5 year study to the University of Toledo library.
After retirement Cliff’s public service did not end. He was treasurer of the Amvets for the state of Florida and on the board of Military Officers Association of America.
The family will not have a viewing but Cliff will be interred at the National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
