With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Constance Chappell on December 22, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 21, 1938, Constance was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and life partner whose legacy of love, loyalty, and dedication touched everyone she met.
Constance is survived by her two devoted daughters, Debbie and Jennifer; her three adored grandchildren, Abby, Andrew, and Karlie; her cherished brother, Charlie; and her life-long partner Paul, of 30 years. Her family was her greatest pride, and she was fiercely protective and loving towards them.
A passionate advocate for the environment, Constance found joy in bird watching and immersing herself in the beauty of nature. Her love for the outdoors was only matched by her incredible determination and spirit—qualities that led her to complete the Boston Marathon at the age of 45.
Constance's academic journey began at the University of Maine and culminated at the University of Connecticut. She pursued a diverse and accomplished career, starting as a teacher, then working as a trust officer, and eventually owning several successful businesses. Her professional achievements were a testament to her intelligence, perseverance, and entrepreneurial spirit.
After moving to Imperial Golf Club in Naples, Constance dedicated herself to her golf game, forging many meaningful friendships along the way. Her warmth, kindness, and loyalty left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Constance's memory will forever live on in our hearts. We will honor her legacy by cherishing the beautiful moments we shared and continuing to draw inspiration from her remarkable life.
