Dennis John Burch

Dennis Burch, age 73, of Naples, Florida and West Bend, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025. Dennis was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Dennis continued to serve others with the Mequon, WI Police Department where he began as a patrol officer and retired as a police captain. His commitment to public service and compassion for others left a lasting impact on the community.

Dennis was a loving husband to his wife, Janice and father to his sons, Brian, Jeff (Laura) Burch and Michael. He also cherished his role as a stepfather to Derek (Angie) Bressler, Kyle Bressler, and Hailey (Matt) Grant, as well as a proud grandfather to Max, Lena, Dominic, Ethan, Gabe, Braydin, Natalie, Melanie, Christian, Hayden, Macy, Gunnar, and Evie.

Dennis is also further survived by his brother, Tim (Michele) Burch, and sister Jackie (Roger) Freund.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Ronald and Dolores, his brother Terry, and his sisters Jill and Ronette.

Dennis found joy in simple pleasures. He enjoyed pontoon rides on the water, spending time working in his yard, Hunting with his family and reading the Bible, which was a source of strength and guidance for him through his illness.

He is further survived by his extended family and close friends, all of whom will miss his warm heart and sense of humor.

A celebration of life for Dennis will take place at a later date in Wisconsin.
