Diana Cecilia Klinedinst, 67, of Naples, FL, departed this earth suddenly but peacefully on December 13th, 2022 at Naples Community Hospital surrounded by her family. She was brought to life on March 16th, 1955 in Medellin, Colombia to the late Joaquin and Lilian Restrepo (Montoya) of Medellin, Colombia.
She graduated from Escuéla Colombiana De Mercadotecnia in 1982 with a degree in Marketing. She spent the first thirty years of her life in her origin country Colombia, which she loved dearly. The other thirty-seven years of her life were spent in the USA, where she enjoyed living the "American dream" and considered herself a true proud American. She met the love of her life, Thomas Klinedinst, shortly after arriving in America while on a trip to Universal Studios Florida. She was such a hot commodity that Tom had to win a coin toss among friends to get the first shot at a date with her. They fell in love immediately and spent 16 beautiful years together until his passing.
Diana leaves behind her daughter, Andrea Klinedinst, son-in-law Cristian Camilo, Sisters (Gloria and Dora), Brothers (Elkin and Orlando), adored nephews and niece, her best friends Zulma B. and Zulma C. and Tim, her furry companions Princess and Luna, and her countless friends and loved ones that she loved passionately.
Dianita (as her friends called her) was known for her giving heart and beautiful smile. She valued hard work, honesty, and service to God at any cost. As a devoted Catholic, she served her community as a leader for the Charity group ministry at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Naples (Ministerio de Caridad), amongst many other church group ministries. Her happiness in life was to serve others and share her smile, love, and kindness with everyone around her.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Ministerio de Caridad (the Charity Ministry of St. Agnes), where Diana was a longstanding committed volunteer and leader of the charity group that serves underprivileged Latinos in the Southwest Florida community through religious efforts. Donations can be made to Andrea Klinedinst (her daughter), who will be collecting funds to give directly to their mission.
Diana was an artist, sewer, photographer, world traveler, arepa enthusiast, and charitable to all. She worked to live, but lived to work. Rarely was she still, as a CNA Caretaker to many, she poured her heart into every one of her patients. Their happiness and tranquility were always her number one priority, and she always went above and beyond the call of duty. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas Klinedinst, her parents, and her sister, among other family members and loved ones.
Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 3:00 PM at St. Agnes Catholic Church.
