Donna was born in Chicago, IL to Felix and Esther Smith Mroz on December 23, 1950. She graduated high school from Immaculate Heart of Mary, Westchester, IL. She met Frank Lazansky, Sr. on February 19, 1973; He was the love of her life. Frank and Skeeters married on July 6, 1974. They spent 28 years working together in their business, Popek’s Flowers until they retired in 2001 and relocated to Chokoloskee Island where they resided.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Lazansky Sr., of Chokoloskee; one son, Frank Lazansky Jr. (Stacey) of Rock Falls, IL; one daughter, Lori Frino (Michael) of Naples, FL; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Landon, Logan, Gavin, Gabriella, Gianna and Giuliana.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Family Church in Everglades City on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 10:30 AM and a Celebration of Life in Illinois at a later date.
