Elio was born in Mariel, Cuba on December 10, 1930. He emigrated from Cuba to the United States with his family in 1967.
Elio was a very dedicated, caring and loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked very hard to give his family a new life in America from Communist Cuba.
He worked 2 and 3 jobs to provide for his family after arriving from Cuba. He worked for 25 years and retired at the age of 81 from the Engineering department at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Naples. Fl.
Elio loved the game of baseball. As a young boy in Cuba he played the game with passion. In later years he would follow his beloved Miami Marlins and would enjoy watching them play on TV and discuss their season with his older brother Evelio, they would talk on the phone about the teams struggles for hours.
Elio will be greatly missed for his energetic antics at parties. His dancing ability was one of a kind. As young man living in Cuba, the girls would always want him to attend dances. He was always the life of the party.
