

Passed into the blessed hands of her Lord and Savior on August 21, 2018 in Naples, Florida. Maggie was born on January 19, 1933 on a small farm in Moorseville, Indiana to Harry Rufus and Helen Lucille (Hobson) Tresslar. Maggie graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in Indiana in 1950 and attended Purdue University. She received a bachelor’s degree from Rio Grande College and a master’s degree from Ohio University. Maggie was devoted to her faith, family, friends and to her students. She was deeply admired by her math students at Jackson High School and often tutored students after class. Maggie was spiritual, loving, patient, kind, genuine, and beautiful. Her passion was teaching children and making a positive impact in their lives. She retired in Naples, Florida and volunteered as a teacher at Grace Place, which offers educational programs for children and their families. Maggie was preceded in her death by her husband, David Carroll Jones, Sr., her parents, Harry Rufus and Helen Louise (Hobson) Tresslar, her step-father Charles Franklin Lee and her sister Hariett Louise (Tresslar) Barnes. Maggie was a loving and wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her brother Cecil Tarleton (Georganna) Tresslar, three children, Michael Wayne (Linda) Roe, David Leslie (Susan) Roe and Steven Charles (Sharon) Roe as well as three step-children, David Carroll Jones, Jr., William Benton (Ella) Jones, and Sarah Elizabeth Jones, 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. The family wishes to express thanks to all who provided care to Maggie at the end of her life. A memorial gathering to celebrate her life is planned for a later date.
