Fran was born on June 29, 1928 in Duxbury, Massachusetts. She was the youngest daughter of Edward and Josephine Walker and was preceded in death by sisters Ellen (Philip) Barker and Ann (Edward) Schroeder.
In the early 1950s Fran moved to Chicago, Illinois where she met and married William J Mueller. Together they raised two daughters Mary and Christine. During that time, Fran was a homemaker and active member of the Chicago Botanical Gardens. She retired to Naples. Fran embraced southern living, the beach, gardening and volunteering at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. She was a long-time resident of Bentley Village where Fran was active in the Orchid House and enjoyed volunteering throughout the Bentley community.
Fran is survived by her daughters Mary (Richard) Greenburg of Naperville, Illinois and Christine Mueller of Naples, Florida. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Jacob, William and Nicholas Greenburg.
Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 20 at 4:00pm at Hodges Funeral Home at (525 111th Ave. N. Naples, FL 34108).
