George, 90, enjoyed his 60 years of world travel to more than 100 countries and his 40 years in radio broadcasting. He retired from an executive position with the CBS Radio Network in New York City, before moving to Naples in 1992.
He is survived by his loving and caring wife, Lis Gormsen Ponte of Naples, his son George, of Prineville, Oregon, and his sister, Barbara (Bunny) Norton, of South Dartmouth, Massachusetts.
A private memorial service was held for George at the Naples Memorial Park and Cremation Gardens.
