September 30, 2012. He was 93.
He was born in Troy, N.Y. on July 27, 1919. He grew up in Philadelphia and
attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a degree in
industrial engineering. He had a 47-year career with General Electric
Company starting in the switchgear plant in Philadelphia and retiring as
plant manager in Valley Forge, Pa. His illustrious career spanned building
modular homes in California to managing the team that built the first
successful vehicle to reenter the earths atmosphere from space.
He was married in 1941 to his childhood sweetheart, Jeanette, who
preceded him in death in 1985. He is survived by his three daughters,
Donna (nee Aurelius) Del Vacchio, married to Michael Del Vacchio and
twins Linda (nee Aurelius) Sisca, married to William L. Sisca, JR and
Lynette Aurelius.
Also surviving are six grandchildren: Michele Incao, Michael DelVacchio
JR, Claudine Sisca, William L. Sisca lll, Lynda Peoples and Christyn
Thomas. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and his wife,
Anita.
Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Friday, Oct. 5, at St John the
Evangelist Church on 111th Street, Naples. A visitation will precede Mass
at 9:30 AM at Hodges Funeral Home, adjacent to the church.
In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Sacred Heart
School, Broad and Ferry Street, Camden, N.J. 08104.
