James Frederick Morrison

James F. Morrison died on December 21 2020 at the Avow Hospice Residence in

Naples, Florida, with his family around him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Myra, and two devoted daughters: Hollie Nielsen & Son-in-law Paul Nielsen and Cindy Morrrison & Son-in-law Bo Karlsson. Jim had FIVE grands, Fredrik and Johanna Karlsson, Carolyn & Tom Bower-Nielsen, Kristofer Karlsson, Emily Nielsen and Karl James Nielsen.

Born in Evanston, Illinois on August 12, 1933 to Dr. Paul L. and Carolyn Morrison, Jim attended Culver Military Academy '51 and Northwestern University where he received his B.A. '55 and M.B.A.,' 58. He was a member of Phi Kappa Psi and Beta Gamma Sigma. Jim also served in the United States Air Force and went on the Honor Flight in 2018.

Jim served on the Boards of churches wherever he lived...from Whitefish Bay to Manhasset, Rumson to Naples. Being involved in church work was his life blood. Also taking his energy was golf..his forever game. Jim was a Club Champion at Westmoreland Country Club in Wilmette, Illinois as a Junior! Over the years he shot his age several hundred times and was Senior Champion at the Imperial Golf Club in Florida. The International Seniors, 200 Club, Eastern Seniors and American Seniors all have had Jim on their rosters. Membership at North Hempstead Country Club in Port Washington, New York, the Rumson Country Club in Rumson, New Jersey and The New Club in St. Andrews, Scotland, gave Jim wonderful opportunities to travel the world with Myra and golf.

Most of Jim's career was spent with International Flavors & Fragrances, NYC, where he was Controller and Managing Director of Europe, Middle East & Africa.. Living in London for 5 years gave him the opportunity to travel even more.

Active here in Naples, Jim was a member of The Greater Naples Leadership Program, the Forum Club, Naples Council of World Affairs, St. Andrews Society and Circumnavigators.

A Family Service is planned at the Memorial Gardens of Moorings Presbyterian Church. Internment in the Morrison Family plot at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie, Illinois will be at a later date.
