Hi Ruthie...It's been a long, long time but I always considered John to be part of my very good memories of Mpls.  We had some great times hunting and fishing in Canada and even played together on a softball team. I called Dale last week in hopes of seeing you and John and I was given the very sad news. I am sorry I missed seeing you both and please know that I will pray for John and have a Mass said on his behalf.

You will be missed dearly!  You brought the life to Beaupre Aerial!  We will miss you laugh, your smile and your winks!  I will miss your cell phone playing raindrops keep falling on my head!  You lead by example, by showing everyone to live life to the fullest!  You won't be forgotten John!

To me, these past few years during John's health struggles I was blessed to spend more time with him than I would have normally. We had many interesting and candid conversations about business and politics, and just life in general. Having directly shared some mutual familial relations we naturally gravitated to exchanging our mutual pride in those relations, and their activities and accomplishments. It was fun to listen to John express his pride, respect and love for his entire family. John's personal strength lent itself to facilitating many of those accomplishments, sometimes forthrightly - more often quietly 'behind-the-scenes' because you also knew that, 'if asked, John would try to move the world to help you out'. And John could be a 'world-class mover and shaker' when he wanted to be. Sometimes that strength wasn't always fully appreciated, but like a beautiful rose dealing with John's occasional 'thorns' usually only made you appreciate the vibrancy. I will miss spending those times with John very much.

John was a great person. He will be missed. He put up a good fight to overcome the cancer he had but in the end, Our Lord felt it was time to take him to His Heavenly home. I remember playing tennis with John and he would always give me pointers as to how to play better when we were playing together. I was privileged to know John. Enjoy eternal life, John. You deserve it.

Ruth and family,  It comes with great
 sadnes to hear of Johns passing.  John was a true friend to myself and especially my parents. I can see 50 years ago him spending Sunday afternoons in our living room playing cards with my dad.
