Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Tom loved life with seemingly unending energy and fervor as was evident by his 96 wonderous years here on earth. Tom was a devout Christian, a true child of our Lord and Savior and a Patriot of this country, having served in the U.S. Navy. Tom is predeceased by his wife Doris. He is survived by his children Leslie Bateman (Tom) of Yarmouth Port, MA and Timothy (Rhonda) of Lake Zurich IL, and his grandchildren William Mackelfresh of Lake Zurich, IL and Katie Bateman of Yarmouth Port, MA.
Tom will be interred at The Village Presbyterian Church in Northbrook, IL. A celebration of Tom's life will be scheduled in the future this summer.
