Joseph Louis Arpin

Joseph L. Arpin, “Joe”, died peacefully on January 29th, 2021, at his home in Naples, Florida, surrounded by his loving wife and children, in his 94th year.

Joe was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Mary, and his brothers, Donald and Gerald. He was the loving husband of Marge Arpin; loving father of Jim (Lori) Arpin, MaryJo (John) Racy, Paul (Katherine) Arpin and Molly (Domenic) Ferrante; and, loving grandfather to Jeffrey, Patrick and Margot Racy; Philip, John Paul and Katie Mee Arpin; and, Julia, Matt, Nicole and Luke Ferrante. Joe will fondly be remembered by his brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Ken and Joan Wysocki of Beverly Hills, Michigan, and his cherished family of nieces and nephews along with his older sister, Kay Arpin, of Toronto, Ontario.

Joe was born in Toronto, Ontario on December 17, 1926 and was raised in Windsor, Ontario. He graduated from The University of Western Ontario, Assumption College and The University of Detroit Law School.

Joe married Marge (nee Morianti) of Windsor, Ontario and together they raised four children in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Joe’s family brought him his greatest joys in life. He cherished his beloved wife of 58 years, forever grateful for her dedication to family rituals. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family while instilling in them the values of faith, hard work and compassion for others. His ten grandchildren were a constant source of pride and joy for Joe and he surrounded them with love and affection at every opportunity. Joe will especially be remembered for his charisma, wit, and tremendous sense of humor.

He spent 28 years as a dedicated finance executive at Chrysler Corporation, retiring in 1990. He was thrilled to be involved in Chrysler’s great corporate turnaround, and most importantly, he made many lasting friendships.

Joe’s favorite hobby was boating, and he enjoyed his times with friends and family at The Grosse Pointe Yacht Club and Club Island.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, February, 6, 2021 at St. William Catholic Church in Naples, FL and will be live streamed at www.saintwilliam.org

Mass will be followed by a burial at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens.
