Nita was born on July 7, 1949 in Angola, Indiana to the late Raymond and Juanita Ilene Presley (Arey).
Nita grew up in Hamilton, Indiana surrounded by nine brothers and sisters. She graduated from Hamilton High School in 1967. Nita married Don Sprenger in 1973 in a beautiful ceremony in Florence, Ohio. They then moved to Amherst, Ohio where she raised all three of her girls and a handful of foreign exchange students. She helped with the family business after the kids were grown. Nita and Don moved to Vermilion, Ohio and built a beautiful lake house. Nita enjoyed flower gardening and working in her yard. She developed a love of sailing and was a member of the Wet Hens sailing team. She spent endless hours with her children and grandchildren. Nita was extremely devoted to her family.
Nita and Don bought a second home in Naples, Florida in 1993. Here they developed a strong community of friends and mastered the sport of tennis. They enjoyed trying new restaurants, drinking wine, and throwing parties. The warm weather and endless activities kept them busy.
Besides splitting time between Ohio and Florida, Nita and Don traveled all over the world. She enjoyed traveling to Africa and eventually taking some of her grandchildren on an African safari. Her travel stories are endless and many great memories were formed.
Nita will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, Donel Sprenger; two brothers Glenn (Nancy) and Gary (Denise) Presley; two sisters Donia Sprenger (Tony) and Ruth Sanxter; three daughters Jackie Mallett, Wendie Hutsenpiller (Doug) , and Nicole Sprenger (Anne Marie); 9 grandchildren Chelsie, Joshua, Sadie, Rylie, Reagan, Paige, Brooke, Trent, and Coy.
Nita was preceded in death by Allen Gene Presley “Jake”, Wanda Lee Presley, Emma Jean Maestas, Olive Kay Presley, Charles Raymond Presley.
