

Kenny was born in the Bronx, NY to Jerome R. Calijone and Catherine Gross on February 10, 1947. He went to Bergenfield High School Bergenfield NJ. He married Maria Pardo on October 17, 1993 in Basking Ridge, NJ. He graduated from Trade School and worked as a HVAC Tester for Sheet Metal Union Local 25 for over 30 years. He and his brother also owned a window replacement business in N.J. for many years. Kenny, a natural athlete all his life, loved sports, and was involved in Track and Field sports and Football teams in High School. He was also a member of various Ski Clubs at Hunter Mountain, NY where he received numerous awards for slalom racing. In the summers, he was a very avid Tennis player and most recently enjoyed and became quite proficient in playing Golf in Naples Fl, with his wife and friends. Later in life Kenny also enjoyed cruising, the beach, pool and socializing at Happy Hours and fine dining available at the many restaurants in Naples Fl. Kenny and Maria also volunteered many hours at St. Vincent’s de Paul Thrift store and at St. John the Evangelist Church doing charity work when needed.
Kenny is preceded in death by Jerome and Catherine Calijone, his brother-in- law Clem and sister-in-law Gloria.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife Maria, his sister Gayle and his twin brother Robert. Although Kenny and his wife Maria were never blessed with children, he and his wife have a total of 10 nieces and nephews, 36 great nieces and nephews and 2 great-great ones!
Visitation will be on Wednesday March 3rd 4-7pm at Hodges Funeral Home, 525 111th Ave. Naples, Fl 34108.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 12 at 10 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 625 111th Ave. Naples, Fl, with Father Tom Zalewski officiating. Burial will follow at Hodges Cemetery. Repast (lunch) immediately following the burial at The Club at the Dunes.
Kenny’s family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Avow Hospice, Dr. Steven Newman and his team at Florida Cancer Specialists, Dr. Michael Wang and his team, his caregivers, and special thanks to the Cayman building friends in the Dunes, who helped Kenny in his last days and his wife after his passing.
