Deepest sympathy to the Moore Family in the passing of Dr. Louis Moore, when we moved to Naples in 1978 and my wife was pregnant, we had to find doctors, well we did  not have any medical insurance at the time. Dr. Moore agreed to deliver the baby and we lined up another doctor to take of the baby after birth. I got all the monies together (forgotten the amount now). we paid Dr. Moore for the delivery, well the day of our sons' birth, Dr. Moore handed me a check, told you need this more than I do. Thank you Dr. Moore great man and you are missed. Our prayers for him and the Moore family.

I am one of so many who have been blessed to be called a friend by Dr. Moore and Virginia. As a teenager I "shadowed" him and was quickly challenged while also encouraged. As a young mother in ministry at First UMC, the Moore's continued to challenge and encourage me. And in more recent years as I founded and developed Grace Place for Children and Families, their always-ready listening ear and wise counsel was a much appreciated blessing. Their challenge and encouragement to always keep true to the mission of the church to serve our neighbors was support I often needed and could count on. The children and families of Grace Place may not know the Moore's personally, but they know the difference the Moore's have helped make in their lives. I will always have a special spot in my heart and my memories for Louis and Virginia.

I was a patient of Dr. Moore since the early 60's. As a young, adventurous boy he mended many of my wounds and infections. Later in life as a pilot, he performed my FAA medical exams every year. Unlike the medical world of today, he always had time for a story (either his or mine). Despite having lived much of my life in other parts of the world, Dr. Moore was one of the few people that made me feel like Naples was still my home. I will truly miss his wisdom, simplicity and his kindness.

Dr Moore was a special friend and a great doctor. He will truly be missed by everyone in the Naples community and First United Methodist Church, We worked with him on many ministries & missions, he was faithful and a man of  integrity. Loved talking and working with this gentle man when he made rounds on 2 North at NCH. He will remain in our hearts and on our minds forever as a wonderful doctor and gentle soul!

So many great memories working for Dr. Moore right out of high school in 1969.  I was able to learn so much from him, Dr. Alexander and Dr. Caudill. I got my first taste of the medical field and knew that was what I wanted out of life.  I went on some of those housecalls with him after office hours where he would take tomatoes, eggs or whatever people had that they could give him as payment.  He truly was one of a kind, no one ever matched up to him.  His first love was his family, and he gave them his all.  He will truly be missed but never forgotten.  My condolences to all of those he leaves behind.  He is with the love of his life again

ONE OF A KIND AND LOVED BY ALL. DR. MOORE WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR YEARS AND YEARS TO COME. IN 1963 HE CAME STROLLING DOWN THE HALLS OF NCH AT 5 AM ON SATURDAY MORNING AND DELIVERED  MY  ONLY CHILD, WEARING SHORTS AND SANDALS AT 5 AM. WHO COULD EVER FORGET HIM? HAVE A WONDERFUL JOURNEY HOME .....

Dr. Moore was a great guy and doctor.  He could never give a quick fast physical because he was so personalble and we always talked about things and life and how to stay healthy and have fun.While the FAA made us get physicals every 6 months as a Captain, it was always a pleasure to drive across the state to see Louie.He was a one of a kind guy.....

So sad to hear of Dr. Moore's passing, but I know he is with his beloved Virginia. I worked for him almost 30 years ago, and he helped me through some rough times emotionally. I enjoyed typing out his tapes from his trip to Africa with his son, and he helped my son recover emotionally from a death of a loved one when he was 9. You were a great man, Dr. Moore, and one of the best people I could ever hope to meet!  (and a great boss, by the way!)

I am deeply sadden upon hearing of Louis' passing.  So many have been like family to him as well as he was the same to others.  He was so well thought of, not only in Collier County but all over the United States as a Physician and as a wonderful human being.  He'll not be forgotten.

Rest In Peace Dr Moore you were the most amazing Doctor and definitely will be missed by many in Naples, riding your bike to wondering the hospital halls with a pleasant smile and always friendly..May God comfort your family at this time of sorrow.

Our condolences for the family of Dr. Moore.  When our family moved to Naples in 1966, little did I know that meeting fellows like Dr. Moore and Dr. Bruce Bonyton were going to leave long lasting impressions. These guys were amazing; they could deliver a baby, set broken bones, sew up lacs, pilot planes, fix an air-boat, could fish, hunt and camp, build a new hospital and churches, take care of migrant workers and Seminole Indians at their camps for some fresh tomatoes or nothing at all, play some guitar around a campfire, do some skin diving, mentor local youth, encourage new doctors to consider Naples and helped them when they got here, and lead their lives truly in the pursuit of helping others not only through their practice of medicine but also their practice of humanity.  Dr. Moore's love of Florida and his instinctive belief in conservation practices still resonate with me today. Dr. Moore is a pillar of my beloved Naples community, and I am privileged to have known Dr. Moore and his wife.
